The Pocono Choral
Society always welcomes new singers to the
membership. Auditions are generally held
during the first three rehearsals for each
concert during the season. Rehearsals for
the Christmas concert begin early in September;
rehearsals for the April concert begin early in
January.
For your
audition, you will be asked to perform a musical
selection of your choice. Our accompanist
will accompany you on the piano. You will
also be asked to perform a portion of an SATB
piece that the director will choose. You
will sing the part for which you are
auditioning, and three Pocono Choral Society
members will sing the remaining three parts.
Notification of acceptance is usually within one week.
As a Pocono Choral
Society member, you are responsible for
membership dues of $50 per year and you must
purchase performance attire.
